Teaching Series: The Holy Spirit
Those of you who have been around over the last few weeks will know that we are midway through a six part teaching series on the Holy Spirit.
We have already looked at what the Bible has to teach us about the person of the Holy Spirit and, last night, we looked at the work of the Holy Spirit in regenerating and bringing life to God-hating, rebellious, hard-hearted and wicked souls… in other words, the sheer act of miraculous grace that you and I experienced the moment we turned to Christ.
Over the next three weeks, we will be thinking about the evidence of the Holy Spirit working in the life of believers (Jesus and the Apostle Paul describe this evidence as ‘fruit’) and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I intend to use the majority of the final week to answer questions.
As I explained last night, the easiest way to take questions is to ask people to submit them in advance of the sixth week to give me chance to prepare. My aim is to provide answers that are both Biblical and useful.
There are two ways of submitting questions, the first is to place a paper copy in the question box in the church foyer, the second option is to email your question to life@firwood.church. If you opt to email, we would be grateful if you could mark the subject heading ‘questions’.
Finally, I just want to add that I have been truly blessed in preparing this series and am excited about what God has to teach us.

The teaching series on the Holy Spirit will take place on 30 July, 6 August, 20 August, 27 August 2008 at Firwood Church, Oldham, starting at 19.30.
